Opportunities
For Graduate Students: I am looking to recruit graduate students for three projects: numerical analysis of methods for capturing phase change (including models of sea ice formation); analysis and computation of intrisic curve motion driven by gradient flows; and some aspects of machine learning using neural ODEs.
For Industry: I worked for many years on a collaborative research project with the fuel cell development company, Ballard Power Systems. The project had matching funding from MITACS. I am currently in a Lithium-Ion Battery research group which has had some collaboration with local industry. I enjoy this collaborative work very much and would be happy to find a company to develop another long term project with. Our group would bring expertise in mathematical modelling, scientific computation, data science, and application knowledge of electrochemical systems.
For Academics: I have limited funding for visitors and travel. The Summer months May-August are when I would have the most time. Please see my short resume to see if I might be a good fit with your group.
