THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY 2018 - Present
I lead the creative side of our Digital Product Optimization Program at Disney. My team makes data-informed design & product evolution decisions across the Disney ecosystem, including Disneyworld.com, Disneyland.com, DisneyCruiseLine.com as well as our Theme Park Apps. I’ve personally led the design effort on hundreds of design & product optimizations that have greatly improved our Guests’ user experience and at the same time also resulted in a significant increase in additional revenue for the company.
I lead a team of Junior & Senior Designers across a wide variety of products from concept to launch.
I generate new opportunities for Design & Product Owners to drive the evolution of their products.
I’ve built a culture of testing and iteration throughout the Design organization.
THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY 2015 - 2018
ASSET AVENUE, 2014 - Aug 2015
My role at AssetAvenue was focused on designing a suite of web products that make both funding and investing in real estate as simple and intuitive as possible. I worked in an agile environment with a team of designers, developers and marketers who are constantly iterating & testing our products to improve user flows and increase conversion rates. Through hand sketching, designing and prototyping solutions, I kept my work fresh, responsive and designed to scale as the product matured.
OPENCROWD, 2013 - 2014
At OpenCrowd I was part of a design and technology team that was engaged in redesigning a large workflow platform for a major global bank. The project required that we work at the client site and integrate ourselves within existing client teams while maintaining our unique perspective as consultants. My responsibilities centered around synthesizing large amounts of user feedback, simplifying intertwined workflows, designing for key business objectives and working within predetermined schedules. The result was a vastly improved product that is simplified and provisioned for future development.
MAIN STREET CONNECT, 2010 - 2013
Starting on the ground floor I was part of a small team that conceived, design and built a network of local news sites. Initially, my role was heavy in conception and design of our site architecture. However, as the company and the product grew, my role began to mature and took on a more research based approach which resulted in a deep focus on data driven product optimizations and team management workflows.
iNDELIBLE, 2008 - 2010
At iNDELIBLE I was responsible for establishing a framework for a given client web presence. Through producing user personas, flowcharts, overview diagrams and wireframe decks I created a blueprint for our designers and development teams to create award winning web interfaces. I have architected sites for, Casio, Playboy, Kahlua, Rich & Skinny Jeans, Kmart and Citigroup to name a few.
LIFETIME BRANDS, 2007 - 2008
At Lifetime Brands I was responsible for translating the needs of a client, including brand considerations and material specifications into thoughtfully designed products for mass production. The majority of the products I designed were for clients like KitchenAid, Cuisinart and Martha Stewart.
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design, 2006
