Ever since I was younger I was defined using two words, ambitious and talkative. I always told my parents that I wanted to be out in front of people whether that be performing or talking. When I was older I used my ambition to help me when I joined Scouts BSA to get my Eagle. Through Scouts BSA, I continued to develop my skills in leadership, problem-solving, and public speaking. It was through staffing Scouts BSA's program, NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) that I found my love for public speaking, leading to my discovered love for Public Relations. I realized that I could combine my love for public speaking, teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity in the field of Public Relations.
Through studying Public Relations, and leading in Scouts BSA, my Irish Dance team, and my sorority, I realized that the most thrilling part of all of these areas were "fixing." I found a thrill in problem solving, and I got hooked on the dopamine release when your solution works and fixes the problem. This inspired me to explore the field of Crisis Communications, where I started my own podcast to allow myself space to learn and educate others. I have found a way to put-together my love for PR and for fixing into one field, and I am excited to see myself grown in this field.
