STEM Posters
SILA members transformed the library of local elementary schools into a hub of inspiration! Our colorful STEM-themed posters sparked curiosity and motivated more students to learn about science, technology, engineering, math, and the impact they have on our day-to-day lives. We even inspired a few new faces to join SILA - proof that creativity and passion go a long way
FallFest Volunteering
SILA showed up in full force at the Knights View Fall Fest. Our volunteers helped organize activities, guided guests, and ran a spooky haunted house. It demonstrated how STEM leaders can make a difference outside the classroom, too!
It also demonstrates the flexibility and credibility of our members, due to the last-minute push for volunteers. Thank you to everyone who answered our call!
@BRHS Positivity Wall
The Positivity Wall at Ballantyne Ridge High School is a space where students can share encouraging messages, uplifting notes, and reminders of kindness. It’s designed to boost school spirit, support one another, and create a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.

Knights View WinterFest
After a successful collaboration with SILA for their FallFest, Knights View Recreational Center invited SILA back for another round of collaboration. This time, we helped out with fun, festive activities such as fun time with Santa, craft making, and drawing, all while providing food and hot cocoa! We thank everyone who came to our Winterfest collaboration with Knights View, and hold this initiative deeply, as we also increased the size of our leadership team! Congratulations!
Holiday Hearts For Seniors
Holiday Hearts for Seniors brings BRHS students & Clubs together to share kindness, connection, and joy with residents in local nursing homes during the holiday season.
Many seniors spend the holidays without visitors — handmade cards and ornaments will brighten their rooms and remind them they are loved and remembered.Members created:
• Hand-painted holiday ornaments
• Mini snow globe decorations
• Holiday cards with uplifting winter messages
STEM/STEAM Night @Pineville Elementary
During the Pineville Elementary STEAM Night, students and families participated in a variety of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities designed to encourage curiosity and problem-solving. Attendees explored interactive booths, premade models, and engaging demonstrations led by student volunteers. The event provided an opportunity for families to learn together, ask questions, and experience how STEAM concepts connect to real-world applications in a fun and welcoming environment.
