BrewLink ("we," "us," or "our") explains below what we collect when you use the BrewLink app and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information you provide:
- Account: email, password (stored hashed), nickname, bio, profile photo
- Sign in with Apple: Apple user ID and identity token; name/email only if you share them with us
- Cup logs and posts: drink details, notes, ratings, tags, photos, cafe/place text you type (not GPS)
- Messages: text, voice messages you record and send, and optional cup context
- Profile preferences: onboarding interests and flavor preferences
- Reports and blocks: report reasons and blocked user IDs
- Support requests: information you send us by email
We also collect:
- Device and app data needed to run the Service (such as app version)
- Push notification token and your notification preferences
- Purchase status (BrewLink Plus subscription, Brew Beans balance, cosmetic unlocks)
Apple processes payments; we do not receive your full payment card number.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
3. PERMISSIONS
We request access only when a feature needs it, and only with your consent:
Camera — attach a photo when logging a cup or updating your profile
Photo Library (read) — choose a photo for a log or profile
Photo Library (add) — save a Share Card to Photos
Microphone — record a voice message to send in a chat (only while you are recording; no background listening)
Push Notifications — alerts such as new messages, message requests, and community reminders
You can change these anytime in iOS Settings. We do not request location or contacts access.
Declining push or microphone access does not block core features; you can still browse, log cups, and send text messages.
4. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION
We use information to operate the Service, sync your account and purchases, show content you choose to share, deliver notifications you allow, send voice messages you record, handle reports, and respond to support requests.
We share information only as needed:
- Other users — public posts and profile content; messages (including voice messages) you send them
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and push delivery (under Apple's policies)
- Service providers — hosting and database partners that help us run the Service, under confidentiality duties
- Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect users and the Service
Private cup logs (BrewLink Plus) are intended to stay visible only to you in Passport, as described in the app.
5. RETENTION AND DELETION
We keep information while your account is active. When you delete your account (Settings > Delete Account), we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where limited retention is required by law or for safety and dispute handling.
If you turn off notifications, we stop sending alerts to that device and remove or deactivate the related push token.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. No storage method is completely secure; please keep your device and password safe.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw permission-based processing (such as camera, microphone, or notifications in iOS Settings).

7. CHANGES
We may update this Policy and post the new version at https://sites.google.com/view/brewlinkprivacypolicy/privacy-policy. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
Apple processes App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
