On August 9, 2011 the BOCC approved lnterlocal Agreement to allow participation in a purchasing arrangement to be known as the Brevard County Public Entity Purchasing Cooperative. Membership in the Cooperative is open to all public entities within Brevard County. Membership is a prerequisite to participate in any Cooperative solicitation or award. Membership in the Cooperative is free.
What Is The Purpose Of Cooperative Bidding?
Its purpose is to obtain the benefits and efficiencies that can accrue to members of a cooperative, to comply with the bidding requirements, and to identify qualified vendors of commodities, goods, and services. The Cooperative provides an opportunity to lower prices and time and related expenses in the solicitation process.
