It is people that make a business. Who they are is important and we would like to take a brief moment to introduce a handful or our team members. The core of our team has all been with Brevard County Roof Repairs for a very long time.

John Edward Bert II – President / Owner

John Edward Bert II, called “John Edward” and sometimes “Edward”, is the current President taking over after the retirement of John B. Bert and Dee Bert in 2013. He is an original co-founder of the business and served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since the family business was incorporated by the State of Florida in the 1980s. Simultaneous to his role as a company officer, he has also worked in the field as Project-Manager / Estimator.

John Edward grew up in the Lakewood area of East Brevard County. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, he went on to obtain both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business from Baylor University. While at Baylor, he received an academic merit scholarship from the Accounting Department and was also a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, The International Honor Society For Economics.

John Edward has also been very active in the roofing community and has served as an Officer and/or board member of the North Florida Roofing Contractor’s Association over six years. In 2007 he served as President of the NTRCA. His experience in the roofing industry has also led to his work as an insurance appraisal representative where he has been used by Farmers, State Farm, Republic and Safco insurance companies.

Nicole Bert McElwee – Vice President

Nicole has been our longtime office manager and currently serves as our Vice President. Her role covers many areas including production coordinator and marketing. Nicole is our main contact person for our wholesalers and manufacturers.

Nicole grew up in East Brevard County a five-minute drive from our long-time location off Peavy road next door to Southern Shingles (same spot as the old Ivey Lumber). She went of high school at Bishop Lynch and is a graduate of St Edward’s University in Austin.

John B. Bert – President Emeritus

Our longtime President and Co-Founder officially retired in 2013, but we (gladly) cannot keep him out of the office. Many of his past responsibilities have been passed on, but his five decades of roofing knowledge are still available to help all of us. Few, if any, have stepped on more roofs in Brevard County than him. John was raised in the Lakewood area Brevard County. He, along with Dee Bert, are previous winners of the “Industry Leadership Award” from the North Florida Roofing Contractors Association.
