Player Profiles

Mark Flekken (GK)

Mark Flekken is a new signing for "The Bees" ahead of the 2023/24 season. He won the Golden Glove in Germany's Bundesliga last term.

Thomas Strakosha (GK)

Strakosha's first season in England was riddled with injuries, so hopefully the former Lazio shot-stopper can return to his top form next term.

Matthew Cox (GK)

Matthew Cox is an exciting young Goalkeeper who has recently won the U19's European Championships with England. Cox signed a new long-term contract which will see him stay at the Gtech until 2028.

Rico Henry (LB)

Rico is one of the longest serving players in the current "Bees" squad, he joined in 2016 and has played just under 200 games for us.

Aaron Hickey (RB)

Aaron Hickey is one of the newer faces at the club. The Young Scotsman can play on either flank at either Right-back or Left-back. Aaron's history with Brentford dates back to the 1960's when his Mum's Uncle came on as one of Brentford's first ever substitutes!

Mads Roerslev (RB)

Made Roerslev is one of the many Danish players at Brentford. Currently he is back-up for Hickey but whenever called upon he always looks solid at the back.

Nathen Collins (CB)

Collins is one of the latest signings for Brentford, arriving from Wolves for £23M.

Ben Mee (CB)

Ben won the "Fans' Player Of The Season" award last term. He has been an ever-present defensive rock for us and can hopefully continue his impressive performances this year.

Ethan Pinnock (CB)

The rise from non-league to Premier League has been an impressive journey for Jamaican international, Ethan Pinnock. In the words of our former captain Pontus Jansson: "For me, he is just unbelievable. I think he is up there, this season, as one of the best centre-backs in this league."

Kristoffer Ajer (CB)

Kristoffer Ajer is another player who has had an injury-riddled season. Fingers crossed, he can return to his form from the 2021/22 term.

Mathias Jorgensen (CB)

Mathias Jørgensen, nicknamed "Zanka" may not always be the first name on the team sheet but he is a great character to have around the squad.

Charlie Goode (CB)

Goode has always failed to become a regular first-team starter. During the 2021/22 season, injuries to Ajer and Zanka meant Charlie started a run of games for the "Bees" but after picking up an injury of his own, he was sent out on loan. This term, Goode will look for either a loan or permanent move away to try and become a regular starter.

Vitaly Janelt (CDM)

Vitaly is a player most managers would dream of having in their squad. The all-rounder German midfielder can play anywhere from Defensive midfielder to Left-back.

Christian Norgaard (CDM)

Norgaard won "Fans' Player Of The Season" and "Players' Player Of The Season" in 2021/22. Following the departure of Pontus Jansson, Christian will be our new captain.

Mathias Jensen (CM)

I'll be the first to put my hand up and say after the 2021/22 season, I didn't think Mati Jensen was good enough for the Prem. I'll also be the first to put my hand up and say how wrong I was. Following the departure of Christian Eriksen, lots of fans and pundits alike were wondering how we would cope without him..... In my opinion, Jensen has been one of our best players this season and has taken up the mantle from Eriksen superbly.

Josh Dasilva (CM)

Josh Dasilva is one of the many players to make the step up from Brentford's B Team to the first team. Josh was on the books of Arsenal's academy before Brentford signed him.

Frank Onyeka (CM)

Frank "The Tank" Onyeka joined from our sister club FC Midtjylland in 2021. He has experience playing in the Champions League.

Shandon Baptiste (CM)

Grenadian born Shandon Baptiste joined the "Bees" in 2020 from Oxford. I have linked Shandon's YouTube channel to his picture. (Just tap on the picture and it will take you to his channel.)

Mikkel Damsgaard (AM)

Damsgaard is most famous for his free-kick against England in Euro 20. He missed most of the 2021/22 season through injury but hopefully can become a regular starter next term.

Ryan Trevitt (CM)

Ryan is the latest player to make the step up from the B team. He had a very impressive season and hopefully he can make 1 or 2 starts this term.

Yoane Wissa (LW)

"Wissa's on fire!" Since signing 2 seasons ago, Yoane has become a fans' favourite at the Gtech. Wissa has 14 goals for the "Bees" so far.

Keane LEwis-potter (LW)

KLP arrived at the Gtech as our record signing but unfortunately, hasn't had the first season of his dreams, hopefully he can turn things around and become a fans' favourite next season.

Bryan Mbeumo (RW)

Bryan has leveled up this season in the Premier League. Last season, he set records for all the wrong reasons. This season, after coming back from the World Cup, he has looked like a player re-born. Going into next season, he is one of our strongest attackers.

Kevin Schade (RW)

Schade joined in January of this year on an initial loan spell. He has looked very bright and promising and hopefully can get his first goal for us next season.

Ivan Toney (ST)

Ivan, on the back of his best ever season, now faces an 8 month ban from football. This is the type of make or break moment for him. Fingers crossed he can come back stronger than before.
