Breeze Against Wheeze
Breeze Against Wheeze (BAW) is an annual 5K run/3K walk that helps raise money for the Hasbro Children’s Hospital Asthma Camp, an annual summer camp organized by Hasbro's Community Asthma Program. The camp provides children from under-served communities in Rhode Island with skills to manage their asthma while participating in camping and outdoor recreational activities. Our goal is to raise $5000 before the summer of 2024, and we need your help!
About 18,000 children in Rhode Island suffer from asthma. Educating parents and children about proper asthma management has been shown to decrease school absenteeism, reduce hospital visits, and cut the need for emergency medical services. 100% of the money raised through the race will go towards the Hasbro Community Asthma Program’s Asthma Camp. Your sponsorship will help pay for counselors, camp activities, medication, and orientation for parents and campers. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will make a difference for all the campers.
