My Yoga Journey
As a child, I joyfully played my days away, and as a teenager, I threw myself into sport with passion and focus. But as an adult with a busy, ever-active mind, I was magnetically drawn to the practices of Tai Chi and Yoga — seeking inner peace, calm and mindfulness.
I began practicing yoga in 1985, and over the decades it became a sanctuary for my body, mind, and spirit. After retiring from a fulfilling 30-year career as a secondary school teacher in 2025, I chose to deepen my journey by becoming a certified yoga instructor. Now, I embrace the role of a lifelong student of yoga — always learning, always evolving.
My Dharma (Purpose)
As a yoga instructor, my Dharma is to create a safe and nurturing space where you can explore and deepen your connection with your inner self. My classes are a flowing blend of mindfulness, breathwork (pranayama), and postures (asanas) — all designed to guide you toward a transformed state of relaxation, calm, and acceptance (santosha).
My Hope
There is no perfect pose in my classes, and no one knows your body better than you do, thus I am simply your guide. Modifications and accommodations are not only welcome — they are expected. Your success is your own, and it can be measured through your postures, by your ability to return to the breath, to stay present in stillness, and to experience Savasana not as sleep, but as waking awareness.
My Energy and Passion (Ikigai)
My energy is rooted in giving. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, and Deep Flow classes to connect with my students and support their mindfulness journey and growth. My ultimate goal is not to change the world, but to help change the world of each student, one breath and one mindset at a time.
Breathe and Bee Yoga.
Namaste.
