This summary report covers programme activities from Oct. 2020 - Oct. 2021, highlighting the key findings and recommendations from the programme so far.
With data and insights from all six boroughs we work in, this summary report discusses the impact of the British Red Cross's pilot community resilience programme in London and the recommendations for future programmes.
Our tri-borough scenario exercise was run in partnership with the tri-borough civil protection team, and aimed to develop a more comprehensive emergency response across the London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest. The exercise brought together members of the community (including residents and local community groups) with emergency responders and local authorities. Participants were presented with a scenario in which flooding had occurred across all three boroughs and asked to explore how they could work together to prepare, respond, and recover from this crisis in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This report covers the key findings and learnings from this exercise, and information about what is happening going forward.
