LoLA stands for Log On Louisiana. Using LoLA, you can register for classes, view your schedule, add/drop/withdraw courses, check/pay your bill, set up payment plans, manage your financial aid, and more.
How do I find my LoLa username?
Click the gold "Change Your Password" button on the LoLA login page and enter your social security number (SSN) and your date of birth (DOB) to find your username.
What is my default LoLA password?
The default LoLA password is your first and last initials, your date of birth, and the letters "P@ss". For instance, a student named Ima Bear born on January 1, 1990 will have the LoLA password ib010190P@ss.
How do I change my LoLA password?
Click the gold "Change Your Password" button on the LoLA login page, enter your SSN and DOB, confirm your username, and enter your new password twice. Please be certain to read the password requirements carefully.
What is Canvas?
Canvas is BRCC's online learning management system that connects you to all your classes and coursework electronically.
You can view your class syllabus, view assignments, submit assignments and quizzes, and connect with your instructors and classmates.
Canvas is available on your desktop computer or via the Canvas mobile app.
Where do I go to log in to my BRCC Canvas account?
You can access your BRCC student email account by going to the www.mybrcc.edu website and clicking on the "Login" button at the top right of the web page. From there you can select "Canvas".
What is my Canvas login information?
Your Canvas login information is the same as your LoLA login information.
Why is my class not showing up in Canvas?
Please ask your instructor if they have published the class.
I talked to my instructor and they said the class is published, but I still don't see the class in my Canvas account?

Why am I not receiving email notifications from my instructors?
In Canvas, go to "Settings", then "Notifications", then set the frequency options for notification for each item. We recommend "ASAP".
Make sure that you have added a valid email address to your Profile in Canvas.
Student Email
Where do I go to log in to my BRCC student email account?
You can access your BRCC student email account by going to the www.mybrcc.edu website and clicking on the "Login" button at the top right of the web page. From there you can select "Student Email".
What is my student email address?
Your student email address is your Lola user name followed by "@bears.mybrcc.edu". For example, a student named Ima Bear would have the Lola user name "imabear". Her email address would be imabear@bears.mybrcc.edu.
What is my email password?
Your email password defaults to your first and last initials, the last four digits of your social security number, and the letters "p@ss". For example, if a student's name is Ima Bear, the default password for her email account will be ib1234p@ss (where "1234" are the last four digits of her social security number).

When is my new student email account active?
Your student email account becomes active the weekend before classes start after you first enroll. Visiting IT, 2nd Floor of the Governors Building.
Can I change my email password?
Yes, you can change your email password. We recommend that you change your email password to your LoLA password.
