What is Air Force Special Warfare?

Special Warfare is the Air Force’s premier ground combat force, where maximum effort is the standard, and the minimum is unacceptable. Individuals looking to be a part of this community must thrive in a team setting, possess a no-quit mindset, and possess the desire to never stop improving. There are three mission sets of Air Force SW: Global Access, Precision Strike, and Personnel Recovery.

•Global Access: The ability to go wherever is necessary at a moment’s notice…regardless of terrain, environment, or even the enemy’s capabilities.

•Precision Strike: The coordination and execution of overwhelming force and mass firepower at a time and place of our choosing with the utmost precision.

•Personnel Recovery: The ability to go to whatever extreme necessary to bring a comrade home and ensure that no one is left behind, regardless of the cost.

From scorching desert heat to frigid artic temperatures, you deploy on a moment's notice to some of the harshest locations in the world.
