In online courses, your regular participation is the equivalent of coming to a class held on campus. Participation involves logging in to our course, navigating through the content pages in a module, completing the readings and videos, participating in discussions and other activities, and submitting assignments/quizzes/exams. Your participation is not only an important part of your learning, it will also contribute to the learning of your peers. As members of our learning community, each of us has a responsibility to create an environment in which we can all learn from each other.
I understand that things come up and ask that you reach out to me prior to the assignment due date to get an extension.
Other extenuating circumstances will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Students who have not gotten an extension and are late will have the following policy apply to their grade for assignments:
10% off each day late up to 50% off credit.
Discussion posts will only be accepted within the week they are due.

I know you are spread thin and are managing a lot in your life all at once. However, please make sure that all of your work is your own. Make sure you are properly citing materials created by others. ChatGPT and other generative AI is helpful for brainstorming ideas, but please do not plagiarize its answers.
