Hi, I'm Brandon Korn, a game designer and developer based in Seattle, Washington. I recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Game Design and Development and minors in Computer Science and Creative Writing.
I've been creating games for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I filled notebooks with homemade board games, built worlds in Minecraft, and convinced friends and family to play whatever new idea I had come up with. That passion eventually led me to programming, and I've now been coding for over a decade across languages including C#, C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
My favorite part of game design is understanding why players make the decisions they do. Whether I'm designing a card game, building gameplay systems, or running a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, I love exploring how mechanics shape player behavior and create memorable experiences.
In recent years, I've focused heavily on tabletop and card game design. I co-created Space Raccoons, a multiplayer card game that successfully funded on Kickstarter and is currently in production. As lead designer, I created the cards and gameplay systems, ran extensive playtests, and worked closely with artists and teammates to bring the project from concept to publication.

One of the most formative experiences of my time at RIT was participating in CrashTest, the university's game playtesting club. Through four years of weekly playtesting in CrashTest and the development of my own published card game, I've become fascinated by how players interact with systems, communicate strategies, and create memorable experiences together. I love learning new systems, breaking down mechanics and player behavior, and helping designers identify both strengths and pain points in their games. Through hundreds of hours of playtesting, I've developed strong skills in analyzing game systems, communicating feedback clearly, and understanding how small design decisions can have a major impact on player experience.
When I'm not designing games, you'll probably find me drafting Magic: The Gathering, running a D&D campaign, playing tennis, or diving into a new game to figure out what makes it tick.
At the end of the day, I love bringing people together through games. Whether around a table, on a screen, or somewhere in between, creating experiences that people share and remember is what drives me as a designer.
