You will never see me light up more than when I am explaining the science of glaciology to someone. Science communication is a hobby of mine that allows me to stay close to the science that I love even when not doing research. I communicate the science of glaciology as more than just a means to inform, but to educate. I do not shy away from challenging topics and provide in-depth explanations that are commonly only seen within academia.
If you are a science communicator and hoping to do a collaboration, feel free to reach out to me!
Glaciers & Whatnot is a blog about glaciers... and whatnot hosted on Substack. Here is where I do most of my science communication. On G&W, I write weekly articles about the science of glaciology and profiles about glaciers all around the world on a ~biweekly basis. G&W is recommended by The Trade Off (Ryan Katz-Rosene) and Sustain What (Andy Revkin).
I post short videos about the science of glaciology on TikTok as @theglacierguy. Here, I blend education with comedy to get people hooked on glaciers. I plan to do more with my TikTok in 2026!
Maybe coming soon!
