BIOGRAPHY
Arindam Basu received the B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2005, the M.S. degree in Mathematics and PhD. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Dr. Basu received the Prime Minister of India Gold Medal in 2005 from I.I.T Kharagpur.
He is currently a Professor in City University of Hong Kong in the Department of Electrical Engineering and was a tenured Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University before this.
He is currently an Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems and an Associate Editor of IEEE Sensors journal, Frontiers in Neuroscience, IOP Neuromorphic Computing and Engineering. He has served as IEEE CAS Distinguished Lecturer for 2016-17 period. Dr. Basu received the best student paper award at Ultrasonics symposium, 2006, best live demonstration at ISCAS 2010 and a finalist position in the best student paper contest at ISCAS 2008. He was awarded MIT Technology Review's TR35 Asia Pacific award in 2012 and inducted into Georgia Tech Alumni Association's 40 under 40 class of 2022.
He is a technical committee member of the IEEE CAS societies of Biomedical Circuits and Systems, Sensory Systems and Neural Systems and Applications (past Chair).

Dr. Peng Zhou received her bachelor’s degree from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). Her research interests include neuromorphic computing, memristors, spiking neural networks, and large language models

Yahan Yang received her B.S. Degree in Microelectronics from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and M.S. She's currently working on neuromorphic circuits, mixed-signal design and event-based sensors.

Shang Hongyang received her B.S. degree in electronic science and technology from Nankai University, and M.S. degree in electronics from Nanyang Technology University, respectively. Pradeep Gopalakrishnan received a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala (1989) & an M.Tech in Electronics Design & Technology from the Indian Institute of Science (1997). He has over 25 years of experience in the industry, mostly in ASIC & embedded systems design. He worked in companies such as Philips, Broadcom, Institute of Microelectronics (A*STAR), Siemens & Xilinx before joining NTU. He is currently a part-time PhD student there.

Vivek received his B.Tech. degree with First Class Distinction from JNTU - Hyderabad in 2016 and Joint M.Sc. in Integrated Circuit Design with Distinction from TU München & NTU Singapore in 2019. Earlier he has worked as Software Engineer at CDK Global and as IC Design Intern in the DFT Team at Intel Singapore. After graduation, he joined NTU as a Research Associate in the BRAIN Lab @ VIRTUS and was working in the area of neuromorphic circuits and algorithms for vision applications. Vivek is currently a Ph.D. candidate (starting in Jan 2020) at the School of EEE, NTU.
Nimesh Shah

Nimesh completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 2006 and 2007 respectively from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He worked in Financial Engineering till 2014. He decided to come back to Electrical Engineering by working as a Research Assistant at Masdar Institute from 2015 to 2016. His supervisor was Dr. Jerald Yoo and was working on Bio-Instrumentation Amplifiers. Since 2017 he has been working with Prof. Basu on Hardware Security devices.
Sumon Kumar Bose

Sumon graduated in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2012. After graduation, he worked in Cypress Semiconductor as application engineer . He then joined Xsi semiconductors as analog design engineer in 2013. He is skilled in power converter design and has worked on 10W buck, 10W boost, 10W buck-boost led driver and ADC design. He joined Texas Instrument in 2016 as analog design Engineer and Worked on over voltage clamping circuit. Sumon, started his Ph.D. from January, 2017 under the supervision of Prof . Arindam Basu.
Xueyong Zhang

Zhang Xueyong is from Jiangsu province of China. He received B.Sc. degree in Applied Physics from Nantong University, China in 2011 and M.Eng degree in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from Southeast University, China in 2014. From 2014-2016, he worked as an IC design engineer at Silergy, China, where he was involved in power management unit design, especially the battery charge controller IC. He is now working on neuromorphic VLSI and neural recording systems under the supervision of Prof. Arindam Basu as a Research Associate and part-time PhD student.

Miss Peng Xiaoqi received the B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering major from Guizhou University and M.Sc degree in Integrated Circuit Design Engineering (ICDE) in 2022 in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She was a research assistant supervised by Dr. Arindam Basu in the BRAIN lab of City University of Hong Kong (CityU).
