Multiple Openings for Post-Doc, Research Assistant and PhD student in Neuromorphic, In-memory computing IC design using SRAM/RRAM and Brain-machine interfaces @ City University of Hong Kong
For Post-doctoral positions, experience with IC tapeout and measurement is a must. The maximum monthly salary allowance is HK$20,000 for research talents with a bachelor degree, HK$23,000 for those with a master degree, and HK$35,000 for those with a doctoral degree.
Exceptional candidates can also be involved in other In-memory computing systems for the following applications: (1) Signal processing and compression in Brain-machine interfaces (2) Processing event-based video from Dynamic Vision Sensors in Autonomous driving. Candidates will get an opportunity to work on cutting-edge research with recent papers from the group published in top conferences like DAC, ESSERC and top journals like JSSC, Nature Communications. Examples of recent work from our group in this direction:

NEW (Oct 2026)There is one opening for Research Assistant for a project on analog oscillatory neural network for optimization in the group of Professor Arindam Basu, Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong.
The focus of the project is to perform spike detection using In-memory computing to reduce the transmission data while spending minimum power in the implant.
Interested candidates should send their CV to arinbasu@cityu.edu.hk with details about their academic record as well as IC design experience. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed. Applications are welcome year-round until the positions are filled. Thank you and look forward to working with you!
