The Ohio State University (2009-2014)

BA English with Honors, 2014
BS Mathematics with Honors, 2014.

While at The Ohio State University I was a founding member of the Sourdough Society and an organizer of the first and final Undergraduate Shakespeare Conference.

I worked with Sergei Chmutov's Knots and Graphs Working group which resulted in two papers. I also worked with Jorge Morales at the Louisiana State University Math REU which resulted in one paper.

University of Oregon (2014-2019)

MS Mathematics, 2016.
PhD Mathematics, 2019.

At University of Oregon I studied under the guidance of Boris Botvinnik. My research focused on the relationship of smooth topology and Riemannian geometry. Specifically, my dissertation generalized and extended a minor result of Perelman on the construction of metrics with positive Ricci curvature.

While at Oregon, I served on the math department's Graduate Student Council and on the executive committee of our AWM chapter. I had the pleasure of regularly attending Pacific Northwest Geometry Seminar.

University of California, Riverside (2019-2021)

Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

While at University of California, Riverside, I worked under the mentorship of Frederick Wilhelm. We are working together, alongside Pedro Solórzano, on a forthcoming preprint titled "Gauss Equivalence, Cheeger Deformation and Global Regularization."

Hanover College (2021-2024)

Instructor of Mathematics

During my first year at Hanover College I was a member of Project NExT's 21-22 cohort, The Gritty Golds. As a part of this I coordinated a special session on Project Based Learning for 2022 MathFest.

At Hanover, I redesigned Hanover's Pre-Calculus course to include weekly rich tasks. I also offered a math history class with special topic The History of π and an inquiry-based geometry course with special focus on Euclid's Elements. I designed the brand new course Mathematics for Social Justice, which I taught two times.

University of Kentucky (2024-Present)

Lecturer of Mathematics

At University of Kentucky I work on the coordination team for College Algebra, which is one of the largest service courses offered at the university. I have also served two times on the departments Access, Community, and Engagement committee and once on the OER Grant Review board.

Recently, I have received a major OER Grant in order to write a textbook on the history of mathematics. The book is designed for active learning and is dedicated to the mathematics of ancient Mesopotamia.
