Bradey Barr

I became fascinated with wanting to fly for the Air Force. My Parents were in the Air Force not for flying, funny enough, they were Security Forces. I chose to pursue this career because I want to fly planes. Flying just amazes me, the speed that it passes at just blows me away, I've been flying commercial and private planes my whole life. Before I Fly for the Air Force, I want to go to Virginia Tech on a Air Force ROTC scholarship, to have a better understanding of an airplane, so I don't have to enlist and become an officer and apply to go to flight school. 

To get the Air Force ROTC scholarship, I took a year of computer science. I also have taken JROTC to help keep me in shape to pass the fitness exam. I have taken the first year of English, Science, and Social Studies. 

I am taking JROTC right now and it's teaching me how to be a better person if I am a follower or a leader I joined to be more confident and being in ROTC helped me see what I wanted to do in life for the military. I have played Rec Soccer and done Track and Field for Great Mills High School.  These sports taught me patience, how to work with other people, and how to get along with people that you don't like but have to be close to. I am employed, and I work at Harris Teeter. I have over 6 months of experience 

 My immediate plans after high school were to join the Air Force Academy serve 4 years as an officer and then become a fighter pilot. My plan did change as time went on. Now I plan on going to Virginia Tech with an Air Force ROTC scholarship for Aerospace Engineering.  

Hopefully, after I achieve my career goal, I can be an inspiration to people who want to give up but keep going to achieve their goal, whether it is an invention that I created or a story that I've told about a close call with death. I want to change the world one step at a time with everything that I make, I hope to inspire thousands to envision their future and take it. Even if they are failing in school, if they put in the work, they can do anything. The quote that I give to you is "we strive to be better than yesterday for tomorrow."
