Meeting Info

Regular monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, at the Forest Library Community Room. Meetings begin at 7pm and usually last 60 - 90 minutes. Meeting dates and times can sometimes vary, subject to room availability. Meeting notices are sent in advance via email, to club members and email list subscribers.

Occasionally we substitute a 'field trip' to an area observatory in lieu of a regular meeting. In the past these have been held at Belk Observatory and Winfree Observatory at Randolph College.

In addition to club business, we cover what's happening in the night sky over the coming month, upcoming astronomy events in the area, and upcoming club outreach efforts. We try to have a guest speaker each month to discuss a specific topic in more detail.

Meetings are also available on Google Meet for those that can't attend in person. Meeting info is published in advance via email to all members and subscribers to our mailing list. and includes Google Meet meeting information.
