The discipline of Biophysics applies the concepts of physics to understand how biological molecules behave, how systems of biological origin work or in a larger sense 'the mystery of life'. In the last few decades, new algorithms and methods have been developed to understand biological processes, and this knowledge-base was used to develop bioinspired materials. The student chapter of IIT Guwahati, under the biophysical society is a student organization established in January 2023, to promote learning and research in the field of Biophysics, through networking events, workshops and conferences.
