Achieving your goals starts with making a plan. Check out the resources in this section to learn more about creating a path for your post-secondary experience through the My Career and Academic Plan at BPS. Dream. Plan. Succeed!
The MyCAP (My Career and Academic Plan) strategy is a whole school, student-directed, multi-year future planning process that begins in 6th grade.
This process results in the MyCAP product - the creation of an individual student plan and path to post-graduation success by providing the opportunities to discover their individual interests, talents and skills, and identify careers or post-secondary options.
By completing in MyCAP experiences, you'll be able to better see the connection between your school work and future plans, adapt your plans based on your personal goals and interests, and engage in a process of self-exploration.

SMART stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant (and rigorous, realistic, and results-focused), and timely (and trackable). Learning how to frame goals as SMART goals and being willing to adjust them to get SMARTer is an important skill that can help every student get off to a better start and have a better school year, this year and into the future.
