Dr. Bo-Yi Lee is a social scientist and an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technology Management (ITM) of National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan. His research focuses on employment relations and work-family issues in contemporary workplaces, with a particular interest in issues of justice, dignity, and the platform work.

Bo-Yi published in Work, Employment and Society, Journal of Industrial Relations, Economic and Industrial Democracy, and Community, Work & Family. He also presented at conferences such as The Work, Employment and Society Conference (2018, 2023, 2025, and 2026), LERA 78th Annual Meeting (2026), and The 14th ILERA European Congress (2025). Bo-Yi has secured multiple research grants from the National Science and Technology Council (Taiwan).

Bo-Yi has been awarded the status of Fellow (FHEA) in June 2024 and has involved in teaching a range of courses at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels. His areas of instruction include management, organisational behaviors, human resource management, research methods, platform economy and work, and business communication. 

Outside of work, Bo-Yi enjoys reading, exploring different cuisines, and traveling to new places — with Iceland being his most unforgettable journey so far. He is also passionate about social justice, a commitment that led him to co-found the social enterprise Do You A Flavor which aims to fight against the stigma attached to homelessness in Taiwan.
