Director of Bands
Paige Liccioni is the Director of Bands at Bowie Middle School in Fort Bend ISD. Prior to that she taught at Hofius Intermediate in Klein ISD, serving as both the Director of Bands and Associate Director of Bands. Bands under her direction have earned consistent sweepstakes ratings at the UIL Concert & Sightreading Evaluation and have received numerous Best in Class distinctions at local festivals. She also assisted with the Hofius Symphonic Band in their invitation and preparation for the Music for All National Concert Band Festival in 2023.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Liccioni is an active professional bassoonist, a member of the Woodlands Symphony Orchestra, The Sugar Land Winds, and previously the Woodland Winds Quintet from 2018-2024. The Woodland Winds have been invited to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention and many chamber music series concerts across Texas.
Ms. Liccioni earned her Bachelors in Music Education from Louisiana State University. While at LSU, she performed with the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra and also played Cymbals in LSU’s Golden Band from Tigerland. Ms. Liccioni's professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Pi Kappa Lamda music honor society, and the International Double Reed Society. In her free time, she enjoys taking trips through the Texas Hill Country and across the states in her teardrop camper, “The Paige Pod”, with her loyal dog companion, Tipsy.
Assistant Director of Bands
Ryan Owens is in his first year as a band director at James Bowie Middle School, where he teaches beginner French Horn and Trumpet and conducts the Honors Band. Originally from Chicago, IL, Mr. Owens earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Houston in 2024.
Mr. Owens began playing the trumpet at age nine and had his first professional gig by the age of 12. By the time he was in high school, he had the opportunity to meet and perform with some of his musical idols. Inspired by these experiences, Mr. Owens is passionate about sharing his love for music with students and fostering the next generation of music educators and performers. He believes that being a music educator goes beyond teaching music—it’s about teaching valuable life lessons. Mr. Owens is an active member of both the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Jazz Educators Association.
Assistant Director of Bands
Proud musician and educator, Austin Le is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston. In the Moores School, Mr. Le has studied under multiple successful professional musicians, including Danny Vinson, Phillip Freeman, Brian Kauk, and Dr. Kevin Fenske. Mr. Le has also performed with numerous ensembles within, and outside of, the University of Houston, namely the university’s Symphonic Winds and Large Brass Ensemble, the Spirit of Houston Marching Band, and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. As an educator, Mr. Le has spent his undergraduate time active as a private lesson instructor for middle and high schools in the South Houston Area and as a marching band technician for both the Dawson High School Eagle Band and the Pride of Pearland High School Band.
Mr. Le is extremely passionate about both music and music education. He wishes to foster an appreciation for music in today’s youth as well as create a positive experience for all of his students through positivity and genuine connections. As a Fort Bend ISD alumni, he is especially excited to be beginning his teaching career in the area he grew up in and cannot wait to meet all of his students!
