Nilo was unexpectedly born in a coastal town during a trip made by his parents, Kablr and Isis, who were residents of Pahaadee Chehara (पहाड़ी चेहरा). The sudden birth of the baby forced them to rush back to their hometown. Kablr worked at a steel company, while Isis balanced housework with private tutoring to supplement the family income.
Nilo was the third child of the couple and the first boy, growing up in a large family alongside his sisters Kangchenjunga (25), Kamet (23), Kabru (16), Pauhunri (12), and Dunagiri (7), as well as his brothers Feiran (15), Khudra (12), and Allaqi (11). From a young age, he showed immense affection and dedication to his siblings, striving to support them in various ways. When Kangchenjunga needed help attending a university conference, Nilo worked cleaning houses to contribute financially. He also defended Feiran from bullying at school and became Kabru's partner during a party so she wouldn't be left alone. Even little Dunagiri received his affection on nights when he comforted her by reading stories to ward off her nightmares.
In his childhood, Nilo struggled to adapt to school due to his shyness. He cried a lot, especially at the beginning, needing the comfort of his mother, Isis, to feel safe in that environment. However, this lasted until the day he met Steve, a boy whose mother had betrayed his father with a foreign singer who visited Pahaadee Chehara once, and because of this, he lived in a troubled home environment. Despite this, Steve wasn't affected by it and became independent and confident. The friendship between the two blossomed despite their differences: Nilo was moved by Steve's lack of family, while Steve couldn't understand how Nilo could live in such a small and crowded house.
Over time, whenever he returned home with Steve, they spent hours playing with Nilo's siblings, taking advantage of every corner of the house. One of their favorite places was the attic, where they would draw on the walls and create stories shaped by imagination, turning the space into a magical universe always ready to be rediscovered. Another special place was the "Great Tree," as they nicknamed it, which stood majestically in the garden. They loved climbing its branches whenever the season allowed, to enjoy the ripe fruits. On the porch, watching from afar, their parents would forget their problems and simply gaze at the happiness and innocence of their children.
Life, however, was not always easy and was often marked by unpredictability. Some time later, Nilo and his family faced a severe financial crisis due to old debts, which forced them to leave the house they were living in, evicted by the landlord. Moving to a cramped small apartment made him share much more space with his siblings, and the lack of privacy quickly became a bother. To escape the chaos, Nilo found refuge in one of the house's closets, where he began hiding frequently. This habit persisted until one day, while drinking a bottle of water in his hiding place, he spilled the liquid on himself. When he wiped his eyes and opened them, he realized he was no longer at home but on a mysterious island. It was at that moment that his Behavior Wahata awakened, quickly becoming the main topic among the family members.
During adolescence, Nilo began doing small jobs to help his family financially, taking on tasks ranging from cleaning houses of wealthy families to giving private lessons and doing homework for their children. However, the bills kept piling up, and the financial situation became increasingly tight, making him feel deeply guilty for not being able to contribute more to help his family. This pressure motivated him to find more ways to contribute, even though the work was exhausting, and each amount he earned represented relief, a way to repay the love and dedication his parents had always shown.
One day, Nilo and Steve had a serious argument. Steve revealed that he had joined Agni Kraanti (अग्नि क्रांति), a revolutionary group fighting against social inequality in Pahaadee Chehara. Nilo, however, did not approve of the idea, believing that violence and conflict would not bring about positive change. Steve, on the other hand, saw Nilo's stance as conformist, arguing that passively waiting would only perpetuate a system that caused hunger and misery for thousands, including them. The argument escalated, and after nearly an hour of fighting, both left injured, ending their old friendship.
At 18 years old, after several months of reflection, Nilo decided to join the Pahaadee Chehara navy. After all, he wanted to help his family financially and, still affected by Steve's words, try to make some social change in his city. With the decision made, upon arriving at the dormitory, he was warmly welcomed by Khayin, a tall, strong, and optimistic young man, who apologized for the mess as he was still arranging the place to receive him. Nilo, noticing the limited size of the room, had an idea. He grabbed a bucket and placed it in a corner, demonstrating his Behavior Wahata in action. Khayin was impressed and praised Nilo, who, in turn, suggested the room be kept for his senior while he would sleep in the Oasis.
As time passed, Nilo's weeks became an intense routine of studying, training, and military duties, with few hours of sleep and a lot of dedication. One morning, while on his morning run, Nilo saw a family — father, mother, and two daughters — sitting on a torn piece of cardboard in front of a restaurant, sharing a single rice meal. The scene moved him, and he felt the urge to help them by buying more food. However, his money was scarce, and any extra expense would mean less help for his family or that he himself would go hungry.
While thinking about this, he saw Khayin leaving the restaurant with three meals in a bag. The father of the family, with a look that silently screamed, asked if the young man could buy some food for them. However, Khayin responded coldly, saying that the restaurant owner had told him they were obstructing the passage and bothering customers. He then activated his Behavior, which took the form of a water whip, and began striking the ground, attempting to expel them. One blow knocked the meal the family was sharing to the ground. Scared, they moved to the other side of the street, under the scorching sun. Nilo froze, watching the tears in the eyes of the two children who sought comfort from their parents. He felt a growing fear but couldn't identify what exactly it was.
Seconds later, a girl with long purple hair appeared. She approached Khayin, and before he could react, she transformed into a horse-like creature, delivering a kick that threw him onto the sidewalk, knocking him unconscious. The young woman returned to her normal form, entered the restaurant, and came out with some meals full of meat and vegetables, handing them to the family. She asked them to get out of the sun and return to the shade, away from the intense heat. Grateful, they returned. As she passed by Nilo, still frozen, he couldn't ask who she was, but his eyes caught a small badge that read "Boundart Luxury - Hopevale" before she left. Nilo returned to the dormitory, confused and frustrated, and began to cry.
A few days later, he requested to be excused from the navy and went to his parents' house to tell them about the decision he had made. They welcomed him and thanked him for everything he had already done, promising to support him in any dream or goal he chose. Determined, Nilo traveled by train for a few days until he reached Hopevale. There, he found himself in front of a house with a sign that said "Boundart Luxury." Taking a deep breath, he crossed the gate and entered.
Nilo is a young man with short light blue hair who wears a nautical uniform in shades of light blue, white, and yellow. Completing the look, he wears a light blue hat with a yellow band and a stylized whale design, along with yellow and white striped knee-high socks and light blue shoes.
Nilo is a loyal companion, always willing to help others with deep empathy and a genuine desire to support those around him. His honesty is one of his most notable traits; he values transparency and sincerity, which makes him a trustworthy person and an excellent listener.
Additionally, Nilo has a strong aversion to waste, especially when it comes to food. He makes sure there are no leftovers on plates and ensures that the food in the fridge is well preserved.
