When you use BoulderConnect, we collect the following types of information:
Email Address – for account creation and authentication.
Username and Display Name – chosen by the user and associated with their profile.
Uploaded Media URLs – links to photos and videos submitted by users, stored in Firebase.
User-Generated Content – posts or media that you share publicly through your profile.
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage user accounts.
Allow users to create public profiles and interact with content.
Store and display media and other content uploaded by users.
Maintain the security and performance of the app via Firebase services.
We store your personal data as long as your account is active. You may:
Delete individual posts using in-app features.
Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at boulderconnect@gmail.com.
We may retain some data if necessary to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
User profiles and any photos or videos posted by users may be publicly visible to others within the app. Please do not upload content that you do not wish to be publicly viewable.
We use the following third-party services to operate our app:
Firebase Authentication – for secure login and account management.
Firebase Firestore – for storing user data such as profiles and posts.
Firebase Storage – for storing uploaded media (photo/video URLs).

BoulderConnect is available to users under the age of 13 with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

As a user, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request corrections or deletions of your data.
Delete your account using in-app settings or by contacting us.
