Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to learn more about me and my goals for Town Supervisor.
I first felt called to run for the Town Board because of the steady loss of businesses on Main Street in the hamlet of Pleasant Valley. As an entrepreneur and researcher, I believed I could help identify practical solutions to the challenges facing our town.
Serving on the Town Board has given me a clear understanding of what Pleasant Valley needs to move forward. I’ve already begun working on many of these issues, but I also see how my experience, energy, and leadership can help our town accomplish even more.
I sometimes joke that these are the “most boring campaign promises ever,” but they matter. We need clear policies and procedures at Town Hall. We need modern technology and responsive services. We need more communication with residents and taxpayers.
We also need stronger partnerships with Dutchess County and New York State so we can bring resources into Pleasant Valley instead of relying solely on local taxpayers to carry the burden.
Most importantly, I believe we need a culture of collaboration. The party labels next to our names should stay at the ballot box. It will take all of us — working together as one community — to realize the full potential of Pleasant Valley.
I encourage you to vote on November 3, and beyond that, to stay involved and look for opportunities to help improve our town together
Sincerely,
Meghan Borland
