Meghan is a small business partner, martial arts teacher, PTA mom and communications professional.
She is the proud mom of LaGrange Middle School, West Road and Arlington UPK students and serves on the PTAs for both upper schools.
Meghan has operated a successful business in Pleasant Valley with her husband, Steve, for 15 years.
She is running for town council to make Pleasant Valley a stronger community.
From her martial arts school to her volunteer work, Meghan believes deeply in the power of community to get things done.
If you've met her on the soccer fields or in the grocery store, you know that she will rope you in to her latest project with enthusiasm - and you'll have fun doing it.
She believes in working with everyone in the community - no matter their political affiliation or background - to make positive changes.
Through her PTA work, Meghan has inspired new leaders, while helping fundraise more that $100,000 for Traver and West Road Schools.
She also has executed dozens of grants with the schools, inspiring buildings to incorporate sensory pathways, outdoor classrooms, flexible seating, improve field trips and club offerings.
In 2025, Meghan took over as chair for the district-wide MST Science Fair. She transformed the lagging event, doubling participation in just one year and attracting new collaboration with district leaders to draw attention to improving science curriculum.
For almost 20 years, Meghan worked as a community newspaper reporter for publications in Chicago, Colorado and the Hudson Valley.
Through this work, Meghan regularly attended town board, planning board and zoning board meetings. She interviewed experts about best practices, analyzed budgets, read through town ordinances and more.
She is also a nationally-published writer and expert on systemic change.
Meghan has a thorough understanding of how towns work, and how to problem-solve issues.
Meghan is endorsed by the Town of Pleasant Valley Democratic Committee and the New York Working Families Party.
