A Bit of Park History

HOW BORJNES ECO PARK CAME TO BE

Borjnes (pronounced Borj-nes) Eco Park is a nature project several years in the making. A place of solace and serenity far from the hustle and bustle of the metro, the eco park was made to be a haven for biodiversity.  This is the reason why it is not called a resort but an eco park.

With spring water found flowing nearby, the park's owners decided to divert this natural resource into a cool respite for people (and fishes!) to enjoy. These crystalline flowing waters give life to a variety of aquatic plants and freshwater creatures, and are kept safe from harsh chemicals. 

The park was initially built just for the family to enjoy but the owners decided to share the natural beauty of the place with their fellow Bicolanos. This summer time (April) was the perfect opportunity to do just that. And so instead of raising the entrance rates, they were lowered instead so that everyone can enjoy the privilege of swimming in natural spring water along with the creatures that call the spring “home." 

THE PARK IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS. There are plans for it that still need to be realized. However, we must express our delight to the people who have been sending us messages of appreciation for the simple beauty of the park. Huge thanks must also go out to the vloggers who have been featuring the park in their respective accounts. We owe you our gratitude; we cannot thank you enough!

To the people who keep the park clean for their fellow guests, we express our thanks. It is not an easy feat maintaining such a large area.

We Bicolanos are blessed with so many different resorts to choose from. It is an honor to be one of your choices. 

Let us all remember to always be kind, in word and in deed. After all, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." Let us be kind to one another and to nature that sustains us.
