I am a postdoc at the University of Zurich (at the Department of Comparative Language Science and at the Department of Romance Studies), where I work since 2020, after getting my PhD at Surrey Morphology Group. I got my Habilitation in 2025.

Research interests

My general interests comprise morphology, typology, and language change, along with the functional and cognitive pressures that shape them. My main focus is on paradigmatic structures in inflectional morphology, with special attention to complex systems and "unmotivated" morphological phenomena like morphomes, stem alternations, or inflection classes. For my research I draw on both quantitative and qualitative approaches, and data from languages all over the world, particularly Romance and Otomanguean where I do descriptive fieldwork since 2020.
