My research focuses on the impact of the external factors on entrepreneurship. More particularly, I study the types of environments and conditions that lead to the creation of technology-based high growth ventures and their performance. I build on the extant literature that explains who becomes an entrepreneur and what determines her/his success on the basis of individual characteristics, strategy, and most importantly the institutional environment. I try to contribute to the nexus of three disciples – entrepreneurship, innovation and managerial economics.
