My current research focuses on the nonlinear vibration analysis of metamaterial beams to design low-frequency energy harvesting systems, combining computational modeling in time-dependent frequency response with result-carrying methods to capture nonlinear behavior. This work blends simulation with experimental validation to drive sustainable innovations.
In this work, we introduced a frequency-tuning strategy achieved by changing the beam length and unit-cell size within the auxetic metastructure, creating a new space for studying the system’s frequency behavior. This tunability can be highly beneficial for vibration energy harvesters, allowing designers to select beams that align with the existing vibration frequencies in their environment.

Experimental Setup
A sinusoidal excitation signal is generated in Python with defined frequency, amplitude, and sweep profile, then sent to the Siglent SDG1032X function generator via USB. The generator drives the Modal Shop K2110E-HT shaker through a Modal Shop 2050E09 amplifier. Two Panasonic HG-C laser displacement sensors record base and tip responses, providing 0–5 V analog signals captured by a NI-9234 DAQ.
Nonlinear Unimorph Shape Memory Alloy Actuator with Physical Intelligence (Ongoing): This research focuses on designing and building a high-frequency unimorph shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator with Duffing-type nonlinearity, using a passive layer and an attractive magnet. The actuator can perform nonlinear autoregressive moving average tasks and predict the trajectory of its end effector based on different driving signals. It shows strong potential for use in bioinspired robotic systems with built-in computational abilities.

Finite Element Analysis of a Bicycle Frame in Abaqus
Texas State University
This project presents a finite element analysis of a bicycle frame to evaluate its stress distribution and deformation under realistic riding loads. The frame was modeled in Abaqus using Aluminum 6061-T6 and subjected to seat, handlebar, and bottom-bracket loading conditions. A mesh-convergence study identified an optimal global seed size of 0.1 for accurate results. Across all loading cases, the maximum stresses remained well below the material’s yield strength, confirming safe structural performance. The study demonstrates how FEA can support efficient and reliable bicycle-frame design.

“Modeling and Stress Analysis on Human Tibia Fibula”. In this study, stress analysis of the tibia fibula subjected to body weight in a static condition is examined. A 3-D solid model of the human tibia and fibula was constructed. Stress analysis of the tibia and fibula was conducted to evaluate stresses developed in the tibia-fibula under static load. The tibia and fibula were generated and assembled in SolidWorks with the help of the casting process. Simulated results were found in Ansys. From the results, the magnitudes as well as the location of the maximum and minimum stress distributions were observed.
