This autumn, the Border Singers make a welcome return to the stunning church of St. Oswald's in the South Cheshire market town of Malpas. On this occasion the Border Singers will again be joined by their regular orchestra, the Shropshire Sinfonia, leader Clare Horgan. The organist will be Border Singers' regular concert accompanist, Geoffrey Walker.

The programme will include all four of Handel's Coronation anthems, including Zadok the Priest. Also in the programme will be Vivaldi's Gloria - a popular choice for choir and audience alike.

Paul Mealor was commissioned by Making Music to write a work for amateur choirs to mark the Queen's Jubilee. The work was only published in late August, so this concert is one of the first performances of this attractive little piece. By popular request, we are including a performance of Parry's "I was glad".
