Unhousedness
With the promise of large levels of deportation under Trump, and the rise of discrepancies between the rich and the poor, there are expected to be an increase in the number of unhoused individuals that cannot afford means of living.
Additionally, with increased numbers of displaced individuals due to mass deportation, unhousedness is likely to be a growing issue in the United States and Mexico.

Due to the domination of Capitalism in the United States and the potential increase in prices due to tariffs, Capitalism will continue to separate the working class, especially undocumented immigrants working in the United States, from the rich, capitalist class.

Bodies
Many individuals are deeply concerned and anxious about the implications of a second term for Trump on their identity rights. With Trump's agenda aimed at curtailing trans rights and limiting access to gender-affirming care, the trans community fears that their voices will be silenced and their identities stripped.
Kinship
In times of stress it is important to have people to be able to both lean on and be a support system for. Especially in queer communities kinship is extremely important. Whether it is biological or found, being able to talk to people who are facing the same things as you can bring comfort. After the election there was a lot of worry in queer communities and people were making their voices heard to help others not feel so alone.
D’Emilio suggests that gay and lesbian communities exist on terrain beyond the boundaries of the heterosexual family, on terrain where social and sexual collectivity and collaboration become possible.
