2nd Amendment

The right for every American to have the ability to buy and own a firearm must be protected. That being said, reasonable restrictions such as a background check should be implemented to ensure that guns only go into responsible hands.

Abortion

I personally do not find the process of obtaining an abortion moral, but I do not feel that it is my responsibility to impose my moral beliefs on the people of Sierra. I propose to respect the right that women have to obtain an abortion.

Immigration

I believe in increasing legal immigration while at the same time ensuring that our borders are protected from illegal immigrants. Jumping ahead of everyone in line is fair for nobody.

Climate Change

Evidence has been shown to prove climate change is real and occurring. I believe that it is important to protect our beaches from rising sea level and counter climate change. We can do this and support Sierra's green energy by subsidizing renewable power.

Education

We must give strong federal support to Sierra public schools so they can continue to thrive. Sierra has one of the most robust public education systems in the country, with top notch K-12 schools and public institution of higher education. I will fight to keep it this way.

Taxation

A good system of taxation helps those on the bottom while not crippling those on top. We must make sure that everyone is paying their fair share while making sure that Sierra, and the whole United States, is a friendly place to start a business.

Election Security

It is not okay to compromise the security of our elections. I am in favor of identification being required to vote so all citizens can have confidence in our elections. We must also protect our elections from foreign interference and invest in cybersecurity professionals.

Foreign Policy

I consider myself more of a hawk than a dove, but that doesn’t mean I am an interventionist. I support having a strong military, allies around the world, and always keeping our enemies checked. We should withdraw our troops from where they are no longer needed.
