Fresno, located in Sierra's Second District, has been my home since childhood, and it still is my home today. My life of political service began here when I first served as Senator after I built up my reputation in local politics. I served faithfully for two years advancing the states interest and getting important things done with bipartisan support until I ran for Vice President on the Dobs presidential ticket. I brought my wealth of knowledge about Sierra to his campaign and brought Sierran knowledge and issues to the national stage.
Following that, I occupied a national seat from my party so I could still serve in the House. After a term in that national seat, I decided to run for the seat that encompassed the city I called home for so long, Sierra's Second District. I knew this was my opportunity to serve this great State again.
I won that seat by a wide margin then, and in the next election following it. At this point, I was among the longest serving members of Congress in the United States.
Next, I ran for my old seat in the U.S Senate and won it back. That takes us to today. In my time holding this seat, I have achieved a nearly perfect voting record and have sponsored a mulittude of bills to help the people of Sierra. I am known for being bipartisan and able to work with anyone.
I hope you will support me in my re-election. I have the right leadership experience and dedication to fight for all Sierrans in the Senate.
