Nile and her litter-mates looked on at the lean tabby cat, standing over the two battered ones.

“Ari!” A sharp meow came from know were.

“There you are Ari.” A splotched cat stepped out from the bushes.

The tabby tom hissed quietly

The kits looked on at the cats.

“So that's Ari?” Tiger growled.

“I could take him on any day!” Tiger yowled, almost loud enough for the other cats to hear.

“Shhh!” Nile reminded her.

They glanced up as a third cat; a tabby, pushed her way out of the bushes, and into the clearing.

“Oreo, Brick, why are you here?” Ari hissed.

“The others were wondering where you were.” Oreo meowed softly.

“Oh…” Ari growled.

“What were you doing?” Asked Brick.

“Taking care of something…” Ari hissed softly.

Ari, Oreo, and Brick walked off into the bushes and the group of kits stepped out. Rice ran over to the cats and looked them over.

“Are they ok?” Asked Nile.

“The apprentice will be fine, the warrior on the other hand…” Rice meowed.

“What? Is she ok?” Nile mewed.

“...She’s dead…” Rice choked out.

“... Will the apprentice live?” Nile asked, she wrapped her tail around Rice.

“Yes, I can think save him.” Rice mewled.

“But I’ll need herbs…”

“Can you go get some?” Rice asked.

“Yes” Nile meowed.
