Nile and the others bounded back to their father, He was gone.
There was no trace of him, they searched the clearing but found nothing. Nile sighed it was hopeless looking for Forest, what they needed to do was find their mother, Calla.
“Hey guys! Come look at this.” Brownie meowed from the other side of the clearing.
“What is it?” Rice asked.
“I found some paw prints!” Brownie yowled.
The others bounded over to see what their brother had found.
“Let’s follow them” Mewed Egypt
“Yeah, good idea! Then we can find who ever it is who took daddy and shred them to pieces!” That was Tiger she was back to her usual spunky self.
Well they were talking Brownie had sped off in the direction of the paw prints.
“Wait up Brownie!” Rice called. But it was hopeless Brownie was gone from sight already. The others bounded after him, hoping to catch up.
…
Paws pounded on sand as the group of cats bounded over to see were their brother had gone. As they neared brownie they slowed down, they saw him crouching in a bush, but why?
“Brownie!” Nile whisper shouted.
“Shhhh!” He whispered back.
They stopped huddled in the bush.
A lean tabby cat perched on two cats. The tabby had one paw on the big cat, both of the cats on the ground were wounded, and bleeding badly!
“Shining-Water cats!” Egypt (Who knew about all villages, and Tribes) whispered.
“What are cats from the village of Shining Water doing here?” Tiger growled.
