This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application (“App”).
By using Bookabulary: Learn English, you agree to this Policy.
If you do not agree, please discontinue using the App.
This Policy applies to the Bookabulary: Learn English mobile app distributed on the Apple App Store.
We only collect minimal information necessary for the App’s functionality and personalization.
Full Name: You may voluntarily provide your full name during profile setup or personalization.
Your full name is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to any server.
It is used only to personalize your experience (e.g., “Welcome, Eren!”).
We do not collect your email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
Your learning data — including word progress, streak tracking, and preferences — is stored only on your device using AsyncStorage.
This means your progress and settings remain under your control.
If you delete or reinstall the App, all stored data is permanently removed from your device.
Bookabulary: Learn English may request permission to send local notifications — for example, to remind you to complete your daily practice or maintain your streak.
These notifications are scheduled and displayed entirely on your device.
We do not send remote (push) notifications, and no data is transmitted to our servers or third parties as part of this process.
You can manage or disable notification permissions anytime in your device settings.
To ensure stable app functionality, limited technical data may be processed automatically by our service providers:
Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version
Localization Data: Language and region (used for content adaptation)
Purchase Information: Subscription receipts or validation tokens (via Apple and RevenueCat)
AI Requests: Text content you input may be temporarily processed by OpenAI’s API to generate learning content. This data is not stored or linked to your identity.
All technical data is pseudonymous and used only for core app functionality — never for tracking or advertising.
We use collected information solely to operate and improve our App, including:
Displaying your name to personalize your learning experience
Sending local practice reminders and streak notifications
Validating and managing in-app purchases (RevenueCat + Apple IAP)
Generating AI-based learning content (OpenAI)
Maintaining app performance and security (Cloudflare)
Your full name and notification data are never transmitted to any third-party service.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any data, and Bookabulary: Learn English does not contain advertising or tracking SDKs.
Your full name, learning progress, and notification settings remain stored locally on your device.
We do not maintain any external databases or cloud storage containing your data.
All third-party requests (e.g., AI or subscription validation) are sent securely via HTTPS/TLS and Cloudflare-protected endpoints.
When you delete the App, all local data (including your full name, streaks, and preferences) is permanently removed from your device.
Since we do not store personal information on external servers, there is no personal data to access or delete.
You can reset all data by deleting or reinstalling the App.
If you wish to inquire about how our partners (RevenueCat, OpenAI, or Apple) handle technical data, you may contact us, and we will assist you.
Bookabulary: Learn English is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If you believe your child has used the App and provided information, please contact us so we can remove it immediately.
For users aged 13–17, we recommend parental guidance and review of this Privacy Policy.
Our technical partners (RevenueCat, Cloudflare, OpenAI) may process data on servers located in other countries (e.g., the United States or EU).
All data transfers comply with applicable privacy laws and are protected by secure international agreements to ensure high standards of privacy and security.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements.
Significant changes will be communicated within the App.
