What is a Boltdog Booster?
We are Eliza Blaker 55's parent and teacher organization, fostering an inclusive, collaborative community that enriches and supports the students, staff, and families of Butler Lab School 55. There are lots of ways to get involved; check out the current opportunities!
We will be collecting snack donations for the classrooms. Recommended snacks include: granola bars, goldfish packets, Cheez-it packets, or apple sauce packets. The district has reminded us that we should be supplying "healthy" snacks, for example, crackers, bars, proteins, etc. Goldfish work, but not chips. Veggie straws are acceptable.
Alternatively, if you would like to set up a recurring delivery to the school, you can check out the Amazon wishlist. This has snacks for both the classroom and the teacher's lounge.
Because we are a Reggio-inspired school, community is at the heart of what we do. Meet the families, staff, students, volunteers, and partners that contribute to our school's success by attending school events—including four Boltdog Booster meetings during the school year. View the school community calendar—or add it to your personal calendar so you don't miss a single opportunity!
There are lots of ways for families to get involved in the Boltdog Boosters and support our school. Here are a few of the things you can do:
Volunteers are integral to our school's success. You can help plan an event, care for our outdoor learning and play spaces, work the concession stand at a sporting event, plan fundraisers, restock the teachers' lounge, make phone calls to welcome new families to our school—or dozens of other possibilities. No matter your interests, we've got a space for you!
The full general meeting takes place four times during the school year. Check the calendar for this year's meeting dates.
Meetings take place at school in the cafeteria. Watch for reminders and additional details in the school's weekly family newsletter.
General donations make all our activities possible, including the Boltdog Block Party, instruments and materials for our school music programs, 8th grade promotion ceremony, outdoor gardens, middle school dance, thank you gifts for staff and bus drivers, and so much more.
You can make a gift by credit card online or bring a check payable to Boltdog Boosters to Ms. Taylor in the front office.
Did you know... IPS Butler Lab 55 earns money for every item sold in our spirit wear store. Students can wear their spirit wear every Friday. Add something to the cart for yourself, too, and show your Boltdog pride!
Our online store will be open periodically through the school year, and orders will be sent home with your student at school.
