Short Films (June meeting)
At the June meeting we screened two short films, The Phone Call (2014) and Stutterer (2015). Both films won the Oscar for live action short. They can be viewed on YouTube as well as other sites.

How to write a short film. Excellent, short deconstruction of Stutterer with particular attention to the underlying structure of the story that provides a short tutorial on writing screenplays that could apply to short or long films.
Full length features where the main character is on the phone talking to other people through most if not all of the film.
Locke (2013). Starring Tom Hardy
The Guilty (2018). A Danish film where the main character is a policeman at a call center.
Film where main character develops and copes with Tourette’s.
I Swear (2025). Starring Robert Aramaro. Based on a true story. Aramaro won the BAFTA award for best actor.
