Christian Misuraca

Writer & Director

Driven by his incredible passion for filmmaking, Christian is a Melbourne born and hard of hearing filmmaker with a love for telling simple and emotional stories. 

Just like the characters in Bokeh, Christian has always had a passion for the visual medium and the emotional journey it can take us on! With aspirations of becoming an innovative storyteller and filmmaker, Christian has worked as an editor on various short films and music videos and - always on the pursuit for new stories to tell - is currently focused on the development of several screenplays. He can't wait to share his passion project with you all!

Daniel Shao

Producer

Daniel is a passionate producer who strives to bring compelling narratives to the screen. His conscientious approach to planning, management, and creating a strong foundation for the production, has been honed over the years as a producer on multiple short films, music videos, and promotional content on social media. 

Daniel joined the team for the fun challenges it presented and has enjoyed working closely with a team of vastly talented filmmakers. The journey has been rewarding and he is excited to share this adventurous, uplifting story with you.

Marsalis Lam

Director of Photography

Marsalis (Mars) is an award-winning photographer, cinematographer, director and all-round filmmaker with experience in short film, music video, TVC, documentary and feature film content. His love for authentic storytelling is what compelled him to join the project, with its focus on an exciting and vibrant experience. 

His favourite place to be is on set, shaping the light and crafting picturesque shots just like the characters in Bokeh and hopes you will enjoy coming along for this journey as much as he did. 

Harriett Bothroyd

Production Designer

Harriett is an enthusiastic production designer who loves to use her artistic flair to bring scenes to life. Beginning as a writer, she developed a passion for production design after hands on experience in short films, and has since greatly enjoyed expanding her creative skills. 

Harriett joined the team after becoming interested in the concept of Bokeh and seeing its potential, and has had a great time working with the cast and crew to bring it to fruition. She can't wait for everyone to experience the magic of Bokeh.

Ella Boon

Film Editor

Ella is a dedicated editor with a particular interest in rhythm and the ability of editing to help shape a narrative and bring stories to life in the final stages of filmmaking. 

She brings a diverse skillset to this film gained from experience working on a range of projects with varied forms and styles, and has worked closely alongside the director and rest of the team to realise the film’s final vision. Ella has had a great experience working on this project and is excited to finally share it with our audience. 

Samuel Purser

Sound Designer

Samuel has led the sound department on two Swinburne Graduate films, Bokeh being one of them. What drew Samuel to the project upon conception was its sweet story of two young adults who by happenstance have their paths crossed, who share a mutual interest, setting off an unforgettable night out exploring Melbourne’s CBD. 

An unquestionably Melbourne city soundscape, Samuel strove to replicate within the soundtrack, insofar as he wants you to feel as though you are scuttling down the teeming, incandescent streets. Samuel has acquired an extensive library of city-based sounds that best distil the sonic city experience in Melbourne.
