By becoming a member of the Boise Paddlers Meetup group and/or participating in group events (as a member or guest), you agree to this Waiver.

I wish to participate in events organized by the Boise Paddlers Meetup Group. In order to join in these activities, I understand that I must take full responsibility for my own safety, and must release and hold harmless any other persons involved with the activities. For this reason, therefore:

1) I ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE that I understand the nature of paddle sports and related activities and that I am qualified to participate in them. I certify that I am able to swim and to get back in or on my watercraft if I capsize or fall off or out.

2) I UNDERSTAND THAT A PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE (PFD) IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT, and I agree to wear a PFD at all times while on the water.

3) I FULLY UNDERSTAND that paddle sports and related activities carry their own inherent risks such as property damage and bodily injury including disability and the possibility of death, and I agree to accept those risks when I participate in an event.

4) I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY MEDICAL/EVACUATION EXPENSES in the event of my injury, illness, or other incapacity, whether or not I have specifically authorized them.

5) I KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY RELEASE FROM LIABILITY anyone associated with Boise Paddlers, including the organizers, leaders of events, and any other participants, and I understand that this applies during events as well as while travelling to and from them. I recognize that the organizers and leaders of events are not instructors, guides, outfitters, or professionals and I take full responsibility for my own safety.

6) I UNDERSTAND AND INTEND THIS WAIVER to act as a binding legal disclosure, release, hold harmless and indemnity and to be forever binding upon me, my heirs, legal representatives, agents or assigns.

I AGREE TO THIS LIABILITY WAIVER AS A MANDATORY CONDITION FOR MY MEMBERSHIP IN BOISE PADDLERS AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY BOISE PADDLERS EVENT.
