Meet Your Culinary Arts Teacher
Meet Your Culinary Arts Teacher
Hi, I'm Marcy.
Coming full circle is pretty special! I graduated from Brea Olinda High School and years later, I have the incredible opportunity to return to the same district and teach in the school community that helped shape me. It is truly meaningful to now be on the other side of the classroom, helping students discover their own passions, talents, and future possibilities.
Before becoming a Culinary Arts teacher, I enjoyed careers and experiences in the catering department of Angel's Stadium, running my own catering company, and as a wedding planner at the Wydham Hotels. I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Services, a Home Economics teaching credential, a CTE Credential, and a Master’s Degree in Technology. My journey has given me a unique combination of creativity, organization, leadership, and real-world experience that I bring into the Culinary Arts classroom every day.
Teaching is also a family affair! My entire family is made up of educators, so I grew up understanding the impact that teachers can have on students. Today, I’m proud to continue that tradition while sharing my love of food, creativity, and learning with the next generation of Wildcats. My husband is a chef as well and loves coming into the classroom to teach students all about his culinary school experience and how to run a catering company! Together, we love cooking with our two kiddos at home and fostering the love of food and culture while traveling the world!
