Speech and debate is an amazing club to join because it gives students real world experience that you can't get from a classroom. According to NSDA , the National Speech and Debate Association, participating in speech and debate increases a student's likelihood of college admission by 4%. Additionally, the University of Michigan found that debaters saw their GPAs increase by an average of 0.66 points compared to non-debaters. By joining our team, you don't just learn to argue, you learn vital skills, such as critical thinking, researching, and persuasive speaking. Speech and debate can show you how to find your voice and is ultimately a powerful tool for leadership and advocacy in the future.
