Privacy Policy – BodyBook

BodyBook respects user privacy and is designed following a privacy-by-design approach.

The app mainly stores workout data locally on the user’s device. Cloud backups are only created when explicitly requested by the user.

Information that may be processed by the app includes:

• Workout and training data

• Custom exercises

• Backup files

• App usage and interaction data

• Advertising identifiers

• Purchase and subscription information

BodyBook may use third-party Google services including:

• Google AdMob

• Google Play Billing

• Firebase Analytics

• Google Drive backup integration

Google Account Authentication:

Users may optionally authenticate with their Google account in order to access Google Drive backup features.

Google Drive Access:

BodyBook only accesses files created by the app within the user’s Google Drive storage. The app does not access unrelated personal files stored in Google Drive.

Advertising:

The Free version of BodyBook may display advertisements using Google AdMob. Depending on the user’s consent and the applicable regulations, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. BodyBook Pro does not display advertisements.

Consent and Privacy Preferences:

In regions where consent is required, BodyBook uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage consent for advertising and analytics. Users can consent, refuse consent, or manage their choices. Privacy preferences can later be reviewed or changed from the “Privacy and data” page in the app.

Firebase Analytics:

BodyBook may use Firebase Analytics, subject to the user’s consent where required, to understand general app usage and improve reliability. The app records standard technical and usage events and the custom event “workout_saved” when an entered workout becomes recorded in the calendar. This event does not contain exercise names, weights, repetitions, notes, or other workout details. Analytics may apply to both BodyBook Free and BodyBook Pro.

Subscriptions:

BodyBook Pro subscriptions on Android are managed through Google Play Billing.

Backups:

Cloud backups are only created manually by the user through connected Google Drive services.

User Data Control:

Users maintain control over their local and cloud backup data. Local data may be removed by uninstalling the app, while cloud backups can be manually deleted by the user from their connected Google Drive account. Advertising and analytics consent preferences can be reviewed from the app.

Data sharing:

BodyBook does not sell personal user data. Third-party services may process limited technical, advertising, analytics, purchase, or backup-related information according to their own privacy policies and the user’s consent choices.

Security:

Reasonable measures are used to protect user data and connected services.
