Do clocks go back or forward in April?
This Sunday, April 2, at 3 am local time, clocks will go back by one hour in NSW, Victoria,
ACT, Tasmania and South Australia. In these states and territories, the first Sunday of April
marks the return of Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
Each year, daylight saving begins at 2 am on the first Sunday in October
and ends at 3 am on the first Sunday in April.
Note that Lord Howe Island is an exception
(clocks are put forward and back by 30 minutes).
