I started playing the accordion back in the mid-70's, as a part of an all-accordion band.  Seriously.  Thirty kids on accordions playing concerts together - musicals, classical, pop standards, and even a little rock.  And of course lots of Christmas carols (that was a busy season!).  We all took lessons from the same instructor, Mr. Al Truskowski.  Many great memories of that band.

But then I went to college, eventually moved to California, got married, had a kid...the accordion sat undisturbed in the garage for thirty-five years.  The pandemic prodded me to pull it out and start practicing again.  Did I mention that my wife is a saint?

A week ago I didn't know any Irish songs, so today was a crash course in songs I've never played before.  It was great fun learning them, and I hope you had some fun today too.  Practice, practice, practice.   🙂
