I was a founding member of the engineering team at Pogo, which spun off from Interstellar. We developed a mobile app and supporting cloud service to simplify payment for goods and services by Americans and other western travelers visiting countries where credit cards are not widely used, but mobile-phone payment is. (The typical problem for travelers is that they need some of the native currency on deposit with a local "wallet provider," but such accounts aren't easily available to foreigners.)
